Controller Amsterdam

Controller for a world leading Financial Institution. Group Control is a support unit, consisting of 13 FTE’s and based in Amsterdam (head office). The unit is responsible for providing timely and relevant management information, analysis and recommendations in order to facilitate the understanding of the business performance, and thereby improve the quality of management decision making.

• Support monthly closing process (e.g. participate in Technical Committee (provisions), prepare revenue estimate, quality assurance of monthly figures)
• Analysis of P&L (e.g. pipeline, provisions, KPI’s)
• Produce periodic management information (e.g. Monthly management Report (MMR), monthly reports for shareholders, business review in annual report)
• Respond to periodic/ad hoc information request (e.g. management board, organisation units, regulators)
• Roll out and support of the CXO management dashboard (management information tool).

• You should have a bachelor/master degree in Business/Economics.
• Fluency in English is required, verbally and written. A working knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
• A minimum of two years relevant experience preferably in the insurance industry.
• He/she should feel challenged by working on this level in the organization and be willing to get to know all aspects of control at group level.
• You need be analytical and a team player and feel comfortable with working in an international team.
• Working on this level in the company means also having a flexible attitude towards ad hoc requests of senior management and the ability to cope with a complex environment.
• Strong communication skills are required as often you have to deal with colleagues and managers across hierarchies and country borders.
